Dr. Usman Rahmat attended a combined 6 year BS/MD program at Howard University in Washington, DC and completed it with Suma Cum Laude status. He completed Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship training at Georgetown University Hospital. After training was complete, he stayed on as full-time faculty at Georgetown University – serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. He has since started a private practice in Virginia. His focus is on utilizing technology and logic to increase access to care for the masses. He has always had a passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures and customs first hand. His goal with TravelHealthConsult.com is to help increase access to cumbersome and expensive pre-travel consultations for everyone!
Dr. Nipun Sharma completed an internal medicine residency and a chief resident year at Georgetown University Hospital in 2012. He continued to serve in medical education as a clinical director for the residency program in addition to practicing in several clinics and hospital settings. Most recently his focus has been on designing platforms for automation and increased efficiency in digital health.
Jonathan Tahan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2006 with a Bachelors in Computer Science. He went on to work at Booz Allen Hamilton for the past 9 years as a web developer and project lead through many different programs. Primarily most of his work has been around the Maryland area, however, one project put him in Key West, FL for eight months in 2012 and then he was requested back in 2014. Throughout the nine years at Booz Allen Hamilton, Jonathan earned a Masters in Information Technology Project Management back at the University of Maryland in 2011 and has received many team and company achievements. Jonathan has a strong background in web development and has taken interest in different areas of user experience (UX). Other hobbies include running as he participates in many races around the DC/Maryland area.
Hasnat Ali has an expansive technical and management background leading federal, commercial, and small business software engineering and operations engagements. With an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare, financial, and energy markets – he has worked for large organizations such as GE Capital, Exelon Corp, Johnson & Johnson, FDA, NIH, USDA, IRS, and various Top-Tier Mangement Consulting firms. Hasnat has an unyielding passion for technology and thrives at any opportunity to make the internet a better place for all. Hobbies include early morning runs, nurturing his heavenly beard, kicking it back with his children, reading a good book, making you laugh, and carbohydrates.
